New York, NY January 14, 2015 – Funtactix, an award winning developer and publisher of mobile and social games, announces the creation a new publishing division and the launch of a new consumer brand, FTX Games (www.FTXGames.com). This new moniker will be synonymous with world-class IP-based games. Recently announced titles under the new brand include: Hot Tub Time Machine: Tap That and Power Rangers: UNITE. Multiple additional titles are currently in development and will be released throughout 2015 and 2016.
Funtactix is the only independent publisher focused exclusively on building free-to-play games for major box-office films. The team has decades of combined experience in building, marketing, licensing, and managing IP-based games across a wide range of platforms. The Publishing Division will centralize the functions of: Business Development, Creative Direction, Production Management, Marketing and Distribution, Community Management and Analytics. FTX Games will continue world class internal development on new and existing titles.
Former Funtactix Head of Marketing, Casey Dickinson will be leading the new division as Vice President of Publishing and General Manager. He is tasked with the continued focus on pairing the world’s biggest film and television properties with the best developers and technology in the games industry.
