Get in the Ring with the Official Mobile Game of CREED

Vivid Games partners with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer to bring highly anticipated movie to “REAL BOXING™ 2” in November!

Los Angeles, Calif. – October 14, 2015 – Vivid Games, a leading independent game developer, and MGM Interactive, a subsidiary of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (MGM), today announced the upcoming launch of REAL BOXING™ 2: CREED, the official free-to-play mobile game of the highly anticipated film Creed, available this November.

“Partnering with MGM and working with one of the biggest boxing movies in entertainment history is a tremendous achievement for our company that greatly increases the appeal and overall marketing potential of our product,” says Remigiusz Koscielny, Vivid Games’ CEO. “We see this as the perfect match between Creed and the future of boxing games with ‘REAL BOXING™ 2,” he adds.

“Vivid’s sustained success with the original REAL BOXING™ game makes them an ideal partner for the official Creed mobile game,” said Tricia Samuels, MGM VP Global Licensing, Consumer Products & Interactive. “We are delighted to work with them and combine two successful entertainment experiences for the ultimate mobile game fan.”

The upcoming film from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema reunites award-winning filmmaker Ryan Coogler with his “Fruitvale Station” star Michael B. Jordan as the son of Apollo Creed, and explores a new chapter in the “Rocky” story, starring Academy Award nominee Sylvester Stallone in his iconic role.

Coogler directs from a screenplay he wrote with Aaron Covington, based on characters from the “Rocky” series written by Sylvester Stallone. Creed is being produced by Irwin Winkler Robert Chartoff, Charles Winkler, William Chartoff, David Winkler, Kevin King-Templeton and Sylvester Stallone, with Nicholas Stern executive producing.

In Creed, Adonis Johnson (Jordan), son of world heavyweight champion Apollo Creed heads to Philadelphia to track down Rocky Balboa (Stallone) and ask him to be his trainer. Agreeing to take him on, Rocky trains the young fighter, even as the former champ is battling an opponent more deadly than any he faced in the ring. The film hits theaters worldwide on November 25, 2015.

At initial launch of REAL BOXING™ 2: CREED, the player will start as an upstart boxer with legendary Rocky Balboa training them. Once the player is able to unlock levels they will be able to jump in the ring and fight as Adonis Johnson, progressing through the game’s unique seamless single and multiplayer campaign. Future updates to the game will include classic matches from the past films in the iconic ”Rocky” franchise, allowing the player to fight legendary battles against Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang, and Ivan Drago.

The free-to-play mobile game from Vivid Games (developer behind the award winning Real Boxing mobile game franchise) is scheduled to release on the App Store and Google Play Store in advance of the film this November. The partnership was arranged and supported by Funtactix, the only independent publisher focused exclusively on building free-to-play games for major box-office films.
